JBR – Journal Bibliometric Report

bic

JBR is an annual online report on the evaluation of local journals. About 550 journals are ranked and categorized based on more than 20 indicators of the journals’ global and local impact, bibliometric quality and publishing integrity.

The main purpose of JBR is to offer to journal publishers and editorial boards, authorized university evaluation bodies and the publishers of leading international bibliographic databases an insight into the actual, data-based quality of the journals. It also seeks to provide information that may be useful for potential funders and supporters of journals in making decisions regarding the character and scope of support.

JBR provides journal editorial boards with information useful for shaping their editorial policies and monitoring their effects. At the same time, it enables them to estimate to what extent their journals meet international standards, i.e. the criteria for indexing in global evaluation databases, especially the criteria for inclusion in the Web of Science / JCR and Scopus/Scimago.
