Bibliographic data processing

Goal

The purpose of this project is to develop algorithms and technologies for bibliographic data management. The project is fully practically oriented. All efforts are exclusively focused on the development of various tools to automate our routine activities such as:

• checking reliability/accuracy of bibliographic information;
• correction of erroneous bibliographic data;
• parsing and linking citations;
• normalization of data used for evaluation purposes:
• data transformation to be used in statistical bibliometric analysis;

Results

Some few results that are published are available under Publications - Articles – Bibliographic data processing. The most important findings are built into the following CEON/CEES applications:

• CEON Parser: Programme for parsing journal articles
• Scriptor: Programme for parsing journal references
• Svedi: Programme for journal references control, correction and normalization
• ArQuS: Article Quality Support
