The Journal Bibliometric Report for 2018 published
The 2018 edition of the Journal Bibliometric Report (BIČ) by CEON/CEES has been published at its permanent address, https://bic.ceon.rs. The access to the Report is granted to authorized users only.
The 2018 edition was prepared according to the unchanged methodology. A somewhat different methodology, adjusted to the practice of international evaluation agencies and the admission criteria of international citation databases, has been applied in the international version of BIČ with an English interface (JBR).
The indicators used in the classification of journals into tiers/categories were calculated for 424 journals. Nine journals were categorized for the first time.
For 52 journals that are monitored even though they are not ranked because they fail to meet the requirements of the Act on the Editing of Scientific Journals, as well as for 41 journals that, for some (technical) reason, do not meet the criteria for evaluation, but participate in the ranking, the tier/category was not assigned.
Also, the tier was not assigned to journals which had lost the publishing continuity for at least 5 years (N=27), as well as to the journals suspended due to violations of publication and/or ethical standards (N=29). The suspension is reviewed annually and is lifted when the Editorial board eliminates the reasons for its introduction. This is achieved by publishing retraction(s), or correction(s).
For all non-categorized journals only the local impact, expressed by the number of raw citations, has been calculated and displayed.
In total, 573 journals are listed.
